Formation of Chester & District Bowling League.
Meeting of representatives from Bowling Clubs within the radius of three miles from the City Arms, Frodsham St.
The Chairman, (Mr J H Webb) and Hon Secretary H Dunmoon (?) duly attended the meeting when Mr F Weston was elected to the Chair. There were present representatives of the following bowling clubs: - Hoole, Tower, Police, Hermitage, Buddicum, Saughall, Bowling Green and others.
Mr Wilson (Hon Sec protem) and the Chairman, having shortly outlined the principle, the feeling of the meeting was tested, it seemed that the required minimum number of clubs, Seven, would be forthcoming (although Hoole & the Police among others were not in a position to give their decision then).
